System Engineer (CH)

At the dawn of Industry 4.0 and the age of digitisation, Turck Vilant Systems is at the very heart of data needed to drive companies to the next level. Our industrial customers streamline their processes, redefine their operations, find new business and reduce waste with the help of the data collected by us.
We are now looking to reinforce our technical team in Bern/Zurich, Switzerland and we would like to welcome you as our System Engineer to implement RFID projects for our industrial customers.

What to expect from this position?

You are a key resource in the implementation of the RFID solutions, including both software and hardware components, and you will specify, test, commission and support our customer systems.
Your closest colleagues will be our Project Managers and Hanspeter from Sales, furthermore you will work in close co-operation with our Engineering and Support team in Germany as well as our agile software development team in Finland.

Your typical work week will consist of

  • Technical support for existing customers
  • Preparing hardware and software for customer installations
  • Visiting customer sites for system installation and tests
  • Managing smaller projects on your own

What do we expect from you?

You understand IT-systems, you are comfortable in working independently and you learn new things fast. You listen, you ask questions and you don’t give up.

You don’t have to be an expert in RFID – we will teach you. As long as you are comfortable in working with software and hardware, we think you will fit our team well.

  • A background in IT, electrical engineering, automation or experimental physics or other relevant experience
  • Business German and business English
  • Ability and willingness to travel
