Bringing Stores Closer Without Adding Staff

ProMart aimed to provide a superior service concept by bringing EasyMart stores directly to customer locations, such as industrial centers, construction sites, and shipyards. The challenge was to create a convenient, accessible store environment without incurring the costs of additional staffing. They needed a solution that was easy to use, customizable for different product assortments, and suitable for sites where multiple clients might share a single store.

RFID technology made it possible for us to introduce a simple user interface for international customers and enabled the implementation at sites where several clients use the same self-service store.

The RFID enabled self-service store concept allowed ProMart to bring EasyMart stores directly to customer worksites, providing 24/7 access to products without requiring any on-site staff. Solution

The Unmanned RFID Store Solution

ProMart implemented a customized version of Turck Vilant Systems’ standard Unmanned RFID Store Solution. The system consists of:

  • RFID-Tagged Products: All products in the EasyMart store are tagged with RFID for automatic identification.
  • Entrance Control: Shoppers gain access using ID cards, ensuring only authorized personnel can enter.
  • Automated Checkout: RFID readers scan all items in the shopping cart simultaneously, eliminating the need for individual product scanning.
  • Centralized Management: Turck Vilant Visibility Manager manages product and SKU data, user access, and reporting.
  • In-Store RFID Package: Includes all necessary RFID devices and equipment for the store.
  • Automated Stock Management and Replenishment: The system automatically manages inventory levels and triggers replenishment orders when stock is low.
