Track & Trace solutions drive measurable gains in warehouse efficiency, such as cutting shipment time by up to 86% and minimizing costly errors.
The demand for faster, more accurate, and cost-efficient logistics is on the rise.
RFID enables the identification of hundreds of items in milliseconds, eliminating manual errors and accelerating material flows. Turck Vilant Systems’ RFID solutions are trusted globally to optimize warehouse and logistics operations. By automating inventory and shipment handling, companies benefit from reduced stock turnaround times, lower inventory levels, fewer claims, and improved customer satisfaction — all while cutting administrative workload and costs.
The power of RFID in Logistics and Warehousing
A Turck Vilant Systems Track & Trace solution with RFID and RTLS is a globally trusted way to enhance intralogistics efficiency.
By introducing RFID and RTLS touchpoints at key locations across the facility, our customers gain real-time visibility into materials, inventory, and assets — reducing picking and shipping errors while streamlining operations.

Modern track & trace solutions REDUCE WASTE in the form of
MONEY: Fewer errors mean less rework, lower labor costs, and no need to reship — saving on transport, materials, and time with every shipment.
TIME: Replacing barcodes with RFID and automating goods in/out processes automatically keeps track of stock availability of items and RTIs.
MATERIALS: Optimized inventory management ensures cost-effective JIT / JOT deliveries and minimizes overstocking.
EXTRA MILEAGE: Reducing shipment errors helps avoid unnecessary back-and-forth deliveries.
Automatic Goods Receipt
Distribution centres, warehouses, production plants as well as sales locations benefit from literally no-touch goods receiving. Any company can shift from having to scan items manually to stock by using RFID. This allows an automatic registering process for goods received. The shipments may be registered on box, pallet, roller cage or item level – dependent on the type of data needed.
Floor Storage / Stock Location Tracking
Automating material flow in a warehouse boosts productivity. By combining RFID and RTLS, forklifts can be tracked in real time along with the pallets they carry. This enables precise location data for each batch or item. The WMS can instantly assign storage locations and guide faster picking, improving accuracy and efficiency.
Picking
Picking for shipment can be automated with RFID to ensure high accuracy at high speed. The forklift operator receives a pick list on their forklift PC, and RFID readers verify that the item on the fork matches the order. If items are moving in boxes along a conveyor, RFID readers inform the business system of box identities and help stop the correct boxes for the shipment.
Inventory
Using RFID in logistics improves stock accuracy by automatically tracking both inbound and outbound material flows—allowing inventory levels to practically update themselves. This significantly reduces the need for manual inventory counts.
By identifying large volumes of items at high speed, RFID enables cost-efficient stock checks. Accurate inventory ensures the availability of materials, spare parts, and finished goods, while enabling digital services like real-time stock visibility in online stores.
Shipment and Loading Verification
Accurate shipments are essential for meeting customer expectations and controlling costs. RFID and RTLS Systems enable verification already during the packing ensuring that all required goods are included in the shipment. At the loading dock, RFID readers or RTLS locators at doors or mounted on forklifts detect what is physically loaded and compare it with the shipment data. Immediate alerts are triggered to notify of discrepancies. Tracking removes manual checks, speeds up loading, and ensures only the right goods go out.
Tracking of returning carriers / RTIs
Suppliers often deliver materials and spare parts using reusable carriers such as trays, pallets, and cages—collectively known as RTIs. Shared RTI pools offer a standardized and efficient way to move goods across supply chains. Yet, tracking these assets across hundreds of vendors can be complex. RFID and RTLS technologies simplify pool management by automating tracking, reducing RTI loss, and providing instant visibility into RTI availability for all stakeholders.
Self-service Stores and Stock Rooms
Our smart warehousing concept offers 24/7 access to storage facilities—ideal for remote or unmanned sites. RFID manages both access and item tracking, automatically registering what’s picked and by whom, with no manual input needed.
In internal stockrooms, employees can collect tools, parts or materials—items are instantly booked to the user. The same system also works as a self-service store for internal use or as shared stock between partners or departments.
