RFID Solutions at Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Event

Turck Vilant Systems present at Novo Nordisk’s event

Turck Vilant Systems, together with our partner Hans Følsgaard A/S participated in the Novo Nordisk Innovation Day in Måløv, Denmark an event organized by Odense Robotics.

The event brought together various technology providers with expertise in automation, optimization, and efficiency for production lines and warehouses, and we, Turck Vilant Systems, were among the invited participants.

With our experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, our RFID expert, Peter Åsén, showcased how RFID solutions can optimize processes based on actual production challenges, demonstrating the benefits of real-time tracking, automated data collection, and supply chain visibility.

Days for Innovation and Collaboration

Novo Nordisk, a leading global manufacturer in the healthcare sector, is constantly exploring ways to improve production processes and reduce manual interventions. Novo Nordisk’s stakeholders, with a broader understanding of the latest technologies and optimization, attended. Through interactive presentations and live demonstrations, they saw first-hand how our solutions work.

Challenges discussed:

Novo Nordisk is constantly looking to enhance automation in its production and logistics operations, and it has recognized the potential of RFID technology to streamline processes and improve overall operational efficiency.

During Innovation Day, we had valuable discussions on how our RFID solutions can address key and real challenges, including:

  • Optimizing transport processes within production areas and warehouses to improve efficiency and traceability. By automating material flows, companies like Novo Nordisk can reduce handling errors and improve production speed.

  • Automating production processes to replace manual tasks, ensuring higher precision, minimizing manual errors and improving process accuracy

  • Ensuring RFID adaptability for various environmental conditions, including temperature-sensitive storage areas. Our RFID tags and readers are designed to work fully in different environments and specific temperature conditions.

“This event allowed stakeholders to meet and share their everyday work and what they wanted to see. Especially people working first-hand in operations —they know how everything functions and what the real challenges are. It becomes very hands-on when they can say how they do things and what they would like to see.” – Peter Åsén, RFID Expert.

What did we showcase?

We showcased how RFID technology can be used to make different production processes faster and more efficient. Our showcased products included:

  • RFID Gate: Registering the arrival of material of materials or shipping products, our RFID gate ensures real-time tracking and identification of items as they move through designated areas.
  • RFID Forklift: Enabling seamless tracking of inventory movement within warehouses and production areas, ensuring reliable and up-to-date information.
  • Mobile RFID: Offering a flexible and mobile way to enhance traceability and efficiency, empowering workers with real-time insights and instant access to product data.

During our live demonstrations, attendees will see first-hand how RFID solutions can seamlessly integrate into existing production setups, eliminating bottlenecks and enhancing traceability.

Looking Ahead!

Our participation allowed us to engage with the company’s stakeholders, exchange valuable insights, and explore potential future collaborations.

As we move forward, we aim to explore new opportunities for RFID implementation, supporting pharmaceutical companies to achieve greater efficiency, accuracy, and traceability.

We look forward to continuing our collaboration in events like this, where we can showcase our capabilities and demonstrate the value we bring!
